Benoit was rescued this past winter from the bitter cold, on a night of -35 when volunteers were attempting to live trap a pregnant female when he wandered into the trap instead. In those temperatures, the rescue has a “carte blanche” policy where triage takes a backseat and all who wander are no longer lost so he was taken into care. Benoit started off a very shy mister but after a few months of love and patience, he realized life indoors with humans is a major upgrade from simply surviving the streets. Benoit now welcomes all the pets and attention and is easy on the eyes too – often compared to a Pallas cat!
